Description
This gate used to lead to a beautiful garden on Islay Estates ground, behind the white cottage near the Islay Woollen Mill. Nobody knows who it was, but someone took the gate to sell it to an art dealer. Unfortunately, there is now nothing left of the original garden, making Allan Wright’s photograph a true piece of Islay history.
